The tradition of Orange

in 1971, co-founder Phil Knight wanted his new company to stand out from the competition. For packaging, he chose orange - it was eye-catching, looked good on cardboard and was distinctly different from blue shoe boxes. When Nike entered the market with its first shoe, a soccer shoe called 'The Nike,' the shoe box was orange.
